About Franki Ray Founders Sasha Spivey and Stacey George

Lifelong friends Sasha Spivey and Stacey George founded the luxury lifestyle brand Franki Ray as an outlet to unleash their wildest fashion fantasies. Launched straight out of the Heart of Texas in March of 2020, the unisex, couture-inspired collection has since become a favorite of rebel-hearted shoppers everywhere. Making a splash with their Business Bags that colorfully re-imagine the traditional briefcase, as well as statement-making tracksuits for center stage personalities, these biz-savvy besties put their heart and soul into designing pieces that will inspire the world of fashion for decades to come.  

It all began in 1990 in Dallas, Texas. At a time when true female friendships were rare and glass ceilings had yet to be broken, Spivey and George were destined to beat the odds. At five years old, the two kindred spirits locked eyes in a kindergarten classroom at St. Bernard, then on to Bishop Lynch high school, and then college… the rest was (eventually) fashion history. Spivey graduated from Texas A&M University and entered a career in Biomedical Science. Working as a medical esthetician for a plastic surgeon, she used her artistic vision and methodical approach to help enhance client confidence while also honing in on her skills as a talented salesperson. Meanwhile, George, after graduating from Texas State University, applied her political science/marketing degree to the field of digital marketing/advertising, powering bold ideas that built lasting brand recognition. She built campaigns and strategies for nationally recognized corporations.

Still in close contact, the gals realized that something was missing from their day-to-day routines. They shared a longing for a creative outlet that would empower limitless self-expression, and they wanted to bring the full force of their imaginations to life for the world to enjoy. Plus, the concept of entrepreneurship was nothing new. Spivey grew up watching her Slovenian chef father, Franki, and Mexican chef Mother run their own restaurant, Franki’s Little Europe, gaining recognition in Dallas Magazine and other news outlets. George’s father, Raymond, followed his passion into real estate investing, growing his own portfolio of properties around Dallas/East Texas. Thus, the Franki Ray brand was born – an invitation for the two friends to mix a bit of creative risk with a bold business plan.

The resulting lifestyle collection does not disappoint. Fueled by the synergistic force of their friendship, Spivey and George arrived on the fashion design scene like a flaming comet, with style elements that simply refuse to sit down and play nice.
